Greetings from Chile

This postcard has been accompanying me for years - I stuck it on the wall for the first time in my attic room whilst studying at the University of Birmingham (2006/07).

"Teach your own language and experience another life" - it says on the back of the postcard. There you are: I am going to Chile to teach English (not exactly my own language but I have been a qualified English teacher since February 2013). And without a doubt, this will be an experience which I will never forget.

 
I have always wanted to spend a part of my life in South America and I fell in love with the Chilean mountains and beautiful landscapes a long time ago. I am looking forward to living with a Chilean family somewhere deep in the country, immersing myself into yet another culture, learn Spanish, travel and socialise with the local bunch!
